The Concept

Barnett’s Pub was conceived as a friendly Irish Pub in which business could be conducted after work in a relaxed atmosphere over quality beer and wine. The Irish tradition of a pint with friends without loud music is carried on at  Barnett’s Pub. Smoking is not allowed in the pub and families are welcomed.

With the revitalization of downtown Waco, more and more business and professional people are living, working and playing in downtown. Our goal is to give all of Waco, residents and visitors, a reason to come downtown with friends and enjoy a safe and friendly atmosphere.

Barnett’s changes the definition of a “bar.” In Ireland the pub is often the social center of village life, where young and old go to enjoy conversation with their friends and neighbors. Barnett’s strives to be the same type of place where everyone feels welcome and appreciated.

Hours of Operation

From I-35 and the Baylor area:

1. Take South 4th St. northwest toward downtown and the ALICO building.
2. Park in the public parking lot on the south corner of 4th street and Franklin and walk south on Franklin 100 feet.
3. Or to drive to the front door, continue northwest on South 4th Street one block to Austin Avenue.
4. Take a left onto Austin. Then take the next left onto South 5th St.
5. Turn left onto Franklin Ave. Pub is immediately on the right.

Covered parking is available across Franklin from the pub in the Waco Water department building or 100 feet north of the pub at the corner of South 4th and Franklin.

From west Waco and Woodway

1. Take Franklin Avenue to South 5th Street and cross. Pub is immediately on your right.

OR

2. Take Waco Drive to South Fifth Street and turn right (east). Go to Franklin Avenue (third light) and turn left. Pub is immediately on your right
